Standing Up for Educators
A class action was brought on behalf of former Chicago public school principals who were terminated as a result of a public act that was later found to be unconstitutional. The defendant, the Board of Education of the City of Chicago, stonewalled the plaintiffs and dragged the case out for years. After nearly two decades of litigation, we were retained to take over prosecution of the suit. We put an end to the Board’s delay tactics and secured a $2 Million settlement, which was an amount sufficient to compensate the principals with nearly the full amount of their lost wages.
