Attorney Jacie Zolna filed a class action lawsuit against Uber Technologies, which offers a mobile phone application that allows consumers to arrange transportation services from third party taxi and other transportation providers. The lawsuit claims that Uber misrepresented to consumers that gratuity will be automatically added at a set percentage of the metered fare when, in fact, Uber retains a portion of that amount and does not remit it to the driver as an actual gratuity.
